The Bear Cave Cabin is a cozy one bedroom with a wooden interior. The cabin also consists of a living area and a small kitchen with a fridge, microwave, small convection oven and two burner stove. This cabin has two decks so you can experience the view of the valley and the mountains. The cabin is tastefully decorated for a comfortable stay that will make you feel at home.
The Bear Cave Cabin is one of three cabins at a small resort in Corvallis, Montana. Corvallis is located within the Bitterroot Valley of Montana. This area has more mild weather than the rest of Montana and is often referred to as the “Banana Belt” for this reason. The cabins are about an hour away from Missoula and only a short drive away to the downtown area of Corvallis. The seclusion of the resort provides privacy and the opportunity to unplug and connect with the natural environment around us.
Sleeping Arrangement: One bedroom with a queen bed and two twin beds in a separate sleeping area. Plus a futon for extra sleeping.
Corvallis is in the heart of the Bitterroot Valley and has a very unique community shaped by its volunteer commitment. Volunteer organizations coordinate academic enrichment, fundraising, community improvement projects and much more. Due to its rich soil, the area and the community also has a long history of agriculture and is still home to an agricultural research center.
The scenic views of the Bitterroot Valley are not comparable. Each cabin has a porch, encouraging our guests to take a moment to appreciate the beauty around us. Driving or hiking through scenic routes are always a good idea with so much to look at. The breath taking scenery brings guests back from year to year and never fails to impress.
The Bear Cave Cabin is just a short drive away from Lake Como. This 913-acre lake is perfect for fishing, swimming, kayaking and boating. With a boat launch available you can bring your own boat or rent one. Montana Hunting Fishing Adventures can set you up with a guided fishing trip to get you started. Lake Como is filled with Trout, Kokanee and Mountain Whitefish. The Bitterroot River also makes a great fishing destination and is famous for its fly trout fishing.
The area is also known for its whitewater rafting on the famous “River of No Return”. Local outfitters can ensure you have a safe and fun whitewater adventure. If you are looking for something a little more relaxing, Lake Como’s sandy shores are great for laying out and swimming on hot summer days. Montana is also known for its watchable wildlife. Be sure to have your camera ready for all the birds, bears and deer you might see.

Because you book directly with me (Tracy), I would be happy to share my local knowledge. I am a professional artist, so my vacation cabins are decorated with original watercolor paintings. Come enjoy the wilderness of Montana and enjoy it in our cabins with the wilderness spirit!
