Our lodge is just 150 feet from the Madison River (a blue ribbon fly fishing river). Step out the front door with a quick walk down to the Madison to catch the early evening hatch. We are 28 miles from West Yellowstone, the western gate to Yellowstone National Park and 40 miles south of Ennis. Henry Lake is a few miles down the road and Henry Fork is ten miles further.
Nature surrounds us as we share the area with elk, antelopes, mule deer, big horn sheep, grizzlies, coyotes, wolfs, black bear and eagles. We often see mountain sheep graze on the hillside across the river, met a wolf on the trail up to Sheep Lake or to gaze on eagles flying up the river.
Montana Spirit is a great place to hold family reunions. With both the lodge and the cabin, we can accommodate between 16 - 18 people. We have 30 acres, plenty of space for adults and children to play and roam about with privacy.
Our lodge and cabin are on 30 acres, plenty of space to hold family reunions and for children to roam about with privacy. With both the lodge and the cabin, we can accommodate between 16-18 people. We are right on the Madison River, one of the best flyfishing rivers. You can go right from the house, enjoy the fishing and return for lunch or dinner without having to drive anywhere.
Mountain views are all around us and the skies at night are lit up with so many stars. Picture perfect for anyone interested in photography.
We are close to Yellowstone National Parks, rustic towns (West Yellowstone, Virginia City, Ennis) and several lakes (Henry Lake, Quake Lake, Hebgen Lake), Only a mile away, visit the Quake visitor center for a short history on the 1959 earthquake and how the lake was formed.
Hiking, fishing, horseback riding at nearby ranches, sightseeing, exploring Yellowstone National Park, taking in a rodeo and visiting the rustic towns of Virginia City and Ennis are a few of the many activities you can do. Cliff & Wade Lakes are great areas for picniking, swimming and boating.

Diana is a retired cardiac nurse and has managed the guest lodge for over 17 years. She is an outgoing person and welcomes each guest personally . David has managed the lodge along side of Diana.
