Things To Do

No matter what season you visit, you’re going to run out of time before you run out of things to do in Bigfork country! Winter brings Downhill & Cross-country Skiing (Blacktail Mountain, Whitefish Mountain, Crane Mountain, Swan Mountains); Brewfest (22 amazing breweries), and of course Glacier National Park (two mountain ranges, 12 large lakes and 700 smaller lakes).

Cabin 3 at Bigfork Stage Cabins is lucky to be in a Montana ski-town that doubles as a nature-lover’s paradise! It’s near Flathead Lake and Echo Lake, so renting a family boat, deck boat or pontoon might be right up your adventure alley. Nearby events include Whitewater rafting, Dragon Boat Races, Spartan Race, Crown of the Continent, Festival of the Arts, Christmas Parade.

Get even further away from it all by hiking into the Jewel Basin - a favorite among Bigfork locals. The 40 mile drive to Glacier National Park is worth it. The drive over the Continental Divide along the Going to the Sun Road. Don’t stop there, adventure into the Park! See Glacier from a different perspective – horseback! We can help you connect with Swan Mountain Outfitters and be part of the nearly century long tradition of trail riding in the Park.

Things to remember: We rent housekeeping cabins, so leave them as you found them to avoid extra fees. Wireless internet is available in the office. Linens can be exchanged on request.
