You just found a beautiful log cabin with infrared sauna. Welcome to the mountains of Montana where you’ll be welcomed by two tributaries of the Bitterroot River that quietly meander through our scenic ranch in the beautiful Bitterroot Valley. You’ll be surrounded by rivers, lakes and mountains. Fly-fishing, hiking, hunting, skiing and rafting are common activities.
Inside is a completely furnished kitchen, microwave, oversized bathroom. Newer cabin and furnishings throughout. A great place for a honeymoon, anniversary and family getaway.
Sleeping arrangement: Two queen beds with adjoining bath and Queen sofa-sleeper to accommodate up to six people.
Walk where Lewis and Clark walked nearly 200 years ago. Cabin time at the Lupine Cabin includes getting to know your unique neighbor - a National Forest - just a few yards from your door! Seeking solitude? Here it is. The Forest boarders 3 sides of our 200 acre working ranch - the trail head is literally out the back door. Li’l Bit of Heaven is so unique, we even made it on HGTV’s Living Big Sky.
There are two cabins at our Li’l Bit of Heaven so if you need accommodations up to 14, you can rent both cabins and still vacation together. Since you book directly with us (Margie and John) we can answer any questions about local things to do and regional events. After your day of exploring like a Montana local, return to your private log cabin, sit and relax in our infrared sauna.
Guests enjoy the barbecue grill and chairs on the double deck for relaxing in the fresh mountain air. This is a wildlife and nature lover's paradise during all seasons. There are blue ribbon fishing rivers, ATV and snowmobile trails. Catch Brown, Rainbow and Native Trout in the Bitterroot River or take a 30 minute drive to Big Hole and Salmon Rivers for more great fishing plus rafting, adventure canoeing and kayaking. When the snow flies head to nearby Lost Trail Powder Mountain - only a few minutes away. Nordic and alpine skiing, snowshoeing.
As you walk or drive around the Valley always be on the watch for elk, mule deer, mountain sheep, bear. And take time to stop and smell the flowers.
We are an easy day trip to both Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks - located an equal distance from both parks.

We had an amazing time at the cabin. Thank you for a great 3 nights. We loved your puppy dogs. Duke was the best. He always came to visit us. We spoiled him big time. Im sorry. It was so nice since we left our dogs at home. We got to see some deer but no elk. Very nice and relaxing. Thank you. Terri Handley Schreder
